Dougal Ferguson – Managing Director

Mr Ferguson was appointed Managing Director of the Company on 15 April 2019 following the acquisition of the Alaskan acreage position and has over 25 years of experience in senior management positions in listed upstream oil and gas for both domestic and international companies. Most recently, Mr Ferguson was Managing Director of Elixir Petroleum Limited, a position he held for 5 years. He has also held senior positions with Salinas Energy Limited, ARC Energy Limited, Adelphi Energy Limited and Discovery Petroleum Limited, whilst also spending seven years in London with Premier Oil plc and Hess Corporation. He has extensive commercial and technical experience working in business development and commercial roles in small to medium exploration and production companies.

Mr Ferguson has a commercial and business development background and was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and implementing the acquisition of the Alaskan leases for Elixir Petroleum and their subsequent divestment to the Company.

Peter Stickland – Non-Executive Chairman

Peter has over 25 years global experience in oil and gas exploration. Peter is currently a non-executive director of Melbana Energy Ltd (ASX:MAY) (“Melbana”) and was CEO of Melbana from 2014 until early 2018 during which time he led the restructuring of the company and secured the Block 9 PSC in Cuba. Peter was also CEO of Tap Oil Limited (ASX: TAP) from 2008 until late 2010 during which time he oversaw the evolution of the company into a South East Asia/Australia focused E&P Company. Earlier, Peter had a successful career with BHP Billiton including a range of technical and management roles. Peter is an Honorary Life Member of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association Limited (APPEA) and was a member of the APPEA Board of from 2009 to 2017.

Tony Walsh – Non-Executive Director

Tony Walsh has over 30 years’ experience in dealing with listed companies, ASX, ASIC and corporate transactions including 14 years with the ASX in Perth where he acted as ASX liaison with the JORC committee, four years as Chairman of an ASX listed mining explorer and as a director of a London AIM listed explorer.

Arron Canicais – Company Secretary

Mr Canicais holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Notre Dame Australia and is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and Governance Institute of Australia.

Mr Canicais has over 12 years’ professional experience in company secretarial and financial officer roles and audit and assurance across various industries. Mr Canicais currently works for SmallCap Corporate a Corporate Advisory services company which provides corporate advisory services to more than a dozen listed and unlisted clients, including services such as the management of IPO’s, Capital Raising, as well as Company Secretary and CFO services. Mr Canicais is currently Company Secretary and or Chief Financial Officer for a range of ASX listed entities. Prior to these roles Mr Canicais worked at Bentleys Audit and Corporate, a West Perth audit firm, for 5 years which specialised in the audits of junior exploration entities in WA.
